Our Faith

The Christian concepts taught within our curriculum are common to all Christian denominations.  We believe that anyone who trusts in Jesus Christ and accepts Him as Lord and Savior of their lives is cleansed from sin and receives God’s free gift of eternal life.

God is the Creator of the world and all good things. Colossians 1:15-18

There is only one true God. Exodus 20:3

God is really 3 persons in one, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19

God is a loving and good God. He never sins, never makes mistakes and never does anything bad. He always wants what is best for us. 2 Peter 1:3-4

God knows about everything, what I think, and what’s in my heart. Hebrews 4:13

God gives us many blessings and we should thank Him for our blessings. Ephesians 5:20

The Bible is the all authoritative, inerrant Word of God and teaches us how to live. Hebrews 4:12

God has a plan for each of our lives. Romans 8:28

Prayer is talking to God. Ephesians 6:18

We can pray to Jesus anytime, about anything, and anyplace. James 5:13-16

Jesus always answers prayer, sometimes He answers “No” or “Wait”. 1 John 4:7-9

In prayer, we thank God, we ask Him for our needs, we tell Him we are sorry. James 5:13-16

God made me and loves me loves me. Jeremiah 1:5

When Jesus gave us a command, it was for our own good. 1 John 5:3

God commands obedience to authority (teachers, laws, rules, etc.) Titus 3:1

It is God’s will and pleasing to Him when we obey our parents. Ephesians 6:1

We are to model Jesus in our behavior. Ephesians 5:1

God sent His only Son to save us from our sins, because He loves us so much. John 3:16

Each of us is important to Jesus. John 17:20-22

Jesus commands that we are to love each other. John 15:12

Sin is doing things that you know are wrong and are displeasing to God. 1 John 5:17

Even when we try hard not to, everyone in the world sins, except Jesus. Romans 8:23

Jesus is sad when we sin, but never stops loving us. Romans 8:35

When we tell lies, it is a sin and makes Jesus sad, though He still loves us. Colossians 3:9

Jesus is our best friend. 1 John 15:13

Jesus did not stay dead but came alive and is preparing a place for us in Heaven. John 14:1

When we are born again, we are children of God, our Heavenly Father, and we are all brothers and sisters. Romans 8:16

When Jesus rose to heaven, He did not leave us to live alone. He sent us His Holy Spirit to live inside our hearts. John 14:16

The Holy Spirit comforts us when we are sad, guides us when we need help, and helps us to know when we are doing wrong things. John 16:7-15

Praying and learning what God says to us in the Bible helps us to grow the way Jesus wants us to grow. 1 Timothy 3:16

We share God’s love with others when we treat others with kindness and caring. God loves us. 1 John 4:7-9

God is our Father in Heaven. He is all-powerful, all knowing, all seeing. Luke 1:37

God gives us everything we need. Philippians 4:19

We should not worry about any of our needs, just trust God to provide. Matthew 6:25-34

God cares what is in our hearts, not what we look like on the outside. Matthew 5:8

When we are upset and mixed up, Jesus wants us to come to Him in prayer. James 5:13-16

God wants us to pray for others. Ephesians 6:18

We are God’s witnesses to others. Other people learn to be loving and obedient to God by seeing it in us. James 2:14-17

God commands obedience to Him because we are His children. 1 Peter 1:13-16

Praise is an expression of adoration and worship. Psalm 9:1-2

We should be loving to others who may be different from us because God loves us all. 1 John 4:19

God is worthy of our praise, not because of all the things He has done, but just because of who He is.Psalm 145:3

Jesus Christ is the only Son of God our Heavenly Father. Luke 9:35

Jesus loves all the children and peoples of the world, no matter what their skin, or hair color is. Matthew 28:19

We celebrate Jesus’ birthday at Christmas. Luke 2

The Lord cares for us as a shepherd cares for his sheep. Psalm 100:3

Jesus will forgive me for my wrong thoughts, feelings and actions. 1 John 1:9

We may not like things that others do, but we should forgive them as Jesus forgives us.Matthew 18:21-35

Jesus is the only one who has the authority to forgive our sins and give us the keys to the kingdom of heaven. John 14:6

We must ask Him to come into our hearts and take away our sins. 1 John 1:9

Jesus gives us life forever in Heaven, if we ask Him into our hearts. John 10:27-30

Jesus knows when we are telling a lie, even if others don’t. Acts 1:24

Jesus loves us so much He died on the cross to take away our sins. Romans 5:8

When we ask Jesus into our hearts, we are born a second time, this time into God’s family. John 3:5-8

Jesus wants us to follow Him and be fishers of men.Matthew 4:19

When we tell others about Jesus love, we “catch” them for Jesus. Matthew 4:19

If each of us tell someone about Jesus, and they tell someone, etc., we can spread the good news to the whole world. Matthew 28:19

Jesus tells us to go into the world and tell people about Him. Matthew 28:19

We must test everything to be sure it is in accordance with the Bible and what Jesus wants us to do. 1 John 4:1

We should stay away from things that do not help us to live the way God wants us to. 1 Thessalonians 5:21-22

When we have Jesus in our lives the fruit of the spirit grows in us. Galatians 5:22

Jesus is still working on me, changing me, helping me to grow more like him. Philippians 1:6
